Dentures in Lexington, SC

1915 S Lake Dr, Lexington, SC 29073

Bela Family Dentistry of White Knoll provides dentures and partial dentures for patients in Lexington, SC who need to replace missing teeth and restore proper function. Whether you are missing a few teeth or need a full set, our team creates custom-fitted dentures designed to fit well, look natural, and improve your quality of life.

Why Do You Need Dentures in Lexington SC?

Missing teeth cause problems beyond appearance. When several teeth are gone, the remaining teeth shift into the empty spaces, which changes your bite and can lead to jaw pain and uneven wear. Bone loss begins in areas without tooth roots, which can change the shape of your face over time. Dentures restore structure, support, and function to your mouth.

Many patients put off getting dentures because of concerns about comfort, appearance, or cost. Modern dentures are made from improved materials and fitted to your specific anatomy, which makes them more comfortable and natural-looking than older generations of dentures. Getting fitted sooner also limits the bone loss and shifting that occurs with untreated tooth loss.

Common reasons patients come to us for dentures:

  • Several missing teeth that affect chewing or speech
  • Teeth that are beyond repair and need extraction
  • Existing dentures that no longer fit well
  • Bone changes that have made current dentures uncomfortable
  • Wanting a more affordable tooth replacement option
  • Need for partial dentures to fill gaps between remaining teeth
  • Full-mouth tooth loss requiring complete dentures

Getting properly fitted dentures restores your ability to eat, speak, and smile comfortably.

Why Choose Bela Family Dentistry for Your Dentures

Bela Family Dentistry of White Knoll takes time to evaluate your oral health and fit dentures properly. Ill-fitting dentures cause sores, difficulty eating, and instability. Our team creates custom dentures using accurate impressions and precise fitting techniques to give you a comfortable, stable result.

We also offer implant-supported dentures for patients who want a more secure, permanent option. Implant-supported dentures anchor to dental implants placed in the jaw, which eliminates slippage and provides better long-term bone support. Our team can walk you through both options and help you decide what fits your health, goals, and budget.

Why patients choose Bela for dentures:

  • Custom-fitted dentures for comfort and natural appearance
  • Full and partial denture options
  • Implant-supported dentures for patients who want a fixed solution
  • Careful fitting process to reduce soreness and instability
  • Adjustments and follow-up care included in your treatment

I can’t say enough good things!
I was a new patient and they got me in the next day for a chipped tooth. I expected to have to wait a little while, but nope. The dentist moved quickly and the transition was smooth. I have horrible dental anxiety. However, the staff did everything to make the visit as comfortable as possible. The staff and dentist were all very friendly! I plan to return! Thank you all 🩵

Everyone is so friendly here, it really helps to put someone like me, with dental anxiety at ease. They do not pressure, push, or create insecurities by commenting on esthetic things eith your teeth, simply asking if there is anything that bothers you or that you would like to change.

Dr. Collier and the entire team were wonderful! They really get to know you and are super friendly. This was my first visit so they took X-rays and even pictures of my teeth. When discussing my treatment plan they showed me the pictures while explaining the issue and treatment suggestion so I understood. They were great about including me in the discussions, making sure I understood and asked what my main concerns were as well as goals for long term. I highly recommend Dr. Collier!!

As soon as I walked into Bela Family Dentistry White Knoll practice, I was greeted with beautiful warm, welcoming smiles. The front desk was extremely professional, and the office aesthetically pretty. Britney was her lovely self, and Dr. Lineberry, a consummate professional. The assistant who had given me the 3D scan, was a new employee and couldn’t have been more accommodating. It was also a pleasure to see Dr. Collier’s beautiful big brown eyes and warm greeting.

After having my own phobias about dentistry, this is the practice that is my stress reliever. I will always remain a loyal patient.

The only complaint I do have is that I wasn’t given a lollipop. 😉

Frequently Answer Questions

How Long Does It Take to Get Dentures?

The full process from impressions to final fitting typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. This includes fabrication and any adjustments needed to achieve a comfortable fit. Our team will give you an estimated timeline at your first consultation.

How Long Do Dentures Last?

Dentures typically last 5 to 10 years before they need to be replaced or relined. Changes in your jawbone and gums over time affect how dentures fit, which is why regular checkups are important even if you have no remaining natural teeth.

Will Dentures Affect How I Eat or Speak?

There is usually an adjustment period of a few weeks. During this time, you may find it easier to eat soft foods and speak more slowly. Most patients adapt fully within a month and can eat a wide range of foods comfortably. Our team provides guidance on the adjustment process.

Can I Sleep with My Dentures In?

Most dental professionals recommend removing dentures at night to give your gums time to rest and to allow proper cleaning. Sleeping in dentures long-term can increase the risk of gum irritation and bone loss. Our team will give you specific aftercare instructions based on your situation.

What Is the Difference Between Full and Partial Dentures?

Full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth, either the upper, the lower, or both. Partial dentures fill in gaps when some natural teeth remain. Partials attach to existing teeth using clasps or connectors. The right option depends on how many teeth you have and their condition.

Are Implant-Supported Dentures Better Than Traditional Dentures?

Implant-supported dentures offer a more stable, secure fit because they anchor to dental implants placed in the jaw. They do not slip or require adhesives, and they provide better support for the jawbone. However, they require a surgical procedure and a higher initial investment. Our team can help you weigh the benefits and costs based on your health and budget.

Is dental care affordable?

We believe quality dental care should feel accessible. Our team can help review your treatment options, explain costs clearly, and discuss payment solutions when available.

Other Services We Offer in Bela Family Dentistry in Lexington

Our Lexington office provides a full range of dental services, including:

Preventive Care (Cleanings, Exams, and Fluoride Treatments)

Regular dental checkups and cleanings are the foundation of a healthy smile. Our thorough exams help catch potential issues early, while professional cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup that brushing alone can’t reach. Fluoride treatments provide extra protection against cavities by strengthening your enamel. With routine preventive care, we help you maintain a confident, long-lasting smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry (Teeth Whitening, Veneers, and Smile Makeovers)

A beautiful smile can boost your confidence, and our cosmetic dentistry services are designed to help you achieve just that. Professional teeth whitening lifts years of stains, while veneers provide a flawless, natural-looking enhancement for chipped, discolored, or misshapen teeth. Whether you’re looking for a small change or a complete smile makeover, we’ll create a customized treatment plan to bring your dream smile to life.

Restorative Treatments (Fillings, Crowns, and Bridges)

If you have a damaged or missing tooth, our restorative treatments can bring back the function and appearance of your smile. Tooth-colored fillings seamlessly repair cavities, while crowns restore strength and structure to weakened teeth. For missing teeth, bridges offer a natural-looking solution to fill gaps and prevent further dental issues. Our goal is to keep your smile healthy and strong for years to come.

Dental Implants for Permanent Tooth Replacement

Missing teeth don’t have to impact your confidence or quality of life. Dental implants are a long-term, natural-looking solution that replaces both the root and crown of a missing tooth. They function just like real teeth, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime, making them an excellent investment in your oral health.

Comfortable Root Canals and Extractions

When a tooth is severely damaged or infected, a root canal can save it from extraction while relieving pain and restoring function. If an extraction is necessary, we make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. Our gentle approach ensures minimal discomfort and a quick recovery. We’ll also discuss tooth replacement options to keep your smile complete and healthy.

Customized Treatment Plans Tailored to Your Needs

Every smile is unique, which is why we take the time to understand your goals and oral health needs. Whether you need a single procedure or a full-mouth rehabilitation, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your lifestyle and budget. Our goal is to provide exceptional care with long-term results, helping you achieve and maintain a smile you love.
