Meet Matthew Cook, DMD
Dr. Cook, an experienced and compassionate general dentist, has been the primary practitioner of Bela Family Dentistry of Edgefield since 2010. Born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina, he has deep ties to the state. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina, he then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Meeting the communities needs for oral health is Dr. Cook’s number one priority. He feels this is done through an acute understanding of the patients wants and needs, supported by his experience and knowledge. An avid learner, he trained at the Misch International Implant Institute, which set him up to replace and restore single or multiple missing teeth. He continues to train at the Seattle Institute and Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, building his foundation for delivering comprehensive dentistry. Understanding the importance of function and aesthetics propelled Dr. Cook to complete courses in Invisalign and Six-Month Smile Orthodontics. He loves any opportunity to help patients eager to improve their smile.
When asked what he likes most about practicing in Edgefield, “The satisfaction of delivering quality dental care with the latest technology in a small town atmosphere.”
Dr. Cook is married and has four beautiful girls. They enjoy traveling and spending time together.
Meet Corey Eisner, DMD
Originally from Dana Point, California, Dr. Corey Eisner brings West Coast warmth and a deep passion for dentistry to South Carolina. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia, where he cultivated his clinical skills and discovered the joy of connecting with patients through transformative care.
Growing up near the beach, Dr. Eisner developed a lifelong love for the ocean—but when winter rolls around, you’ll likely find him on the slopes enjoying the mountains. A sushi enthusiast and fan of Japanese culture, he says the coolest place he’s ever visited is Kyoto, Japan.
When he’s not in the dental office, he enjoys playing golf, catching a Netflix series, and spending time with his two doodles, Obi and Louie. His guilty pleasure? Anything his fiancée, Mac, cooks—she’s not only a great chef but also a fellow pediatric dentist. Together, they make a dynamic dental duo!
If he weren’t a dentist, he might have pursued life as a major league baseball player—a dream from his childhood. He’s also a two-time 70.3 Ironman finisher and an early riser who would love the superpower of flight (mostly for the views).
Whether it’s providing quality care or building lasting relationships with patients, Dr. Eisner brings dedication, compassion, and a touch of adventure to every smile.
